The Interstate 95 in Florida is the main
north-south interstate highway transportation corridor along the east coast
of the Florida.
The i-95 in Florida runs almost the entire north-south length of
the state;
from the north-end of the state at the Florida/Georgia border,
all the way south to Miami.
At the very south end of the i-95, the highway terminates in
the Miami area (see also:
i-95 Miami) where the i-95 then becomes US Highway 1 (where it is also referred to as
the Dixie Highway)... the US Highway 1 continues south from
Miami, eventually reaching Key West FL.
The i-95 provides quick and convenient highway travel between dozens of cities located along
Florida's east coast... the i-95 directly connects the
largest cities located along Florida's east coast, like:
Jacksonville,
West Palm
Beach, and
Miami...
the i-95 also indirectly connects most of the smaller cities
located along the Florida coastline via various exit's and
off-ramps located along the i-95.
The i-95 and US Highway 1 in Florida generally run
parallel to each other through most of the east-side of the
state... with US Highway 1 generally running directly along much
of the coast (very close to the ocean)... while the i-95
generally runs parallel to Highway No. 1 but runs just slightly
inland from the coast... when comparing the two highways; US
Highway 1 could be seen more of a tourist highway, where the
i-95 could be seen more as a transportation highway.
The i-95 corridor in Florida
also offers many great
business opportunities for tourism related businesses; due to
the convenient way the i-95 connects so many cities along Florida's
east coastline, and the sheer number of magnificent beaches, tourist attractions,
and various recreational & cultural activities & events, a business owner would be
very hard pressed to find a better environment for operating a tourism related business. Just some
of the popular attractions located
along or in close proximity to the i-95 include;
Miami
Beach, Fort
Lauderdale,
Daytona Beach,
Biketoberfest,
Daytona 500,
Daytona Bike Week,
Bruce
Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona,
NASCAR Events,
Kennedy
Space Center,
Spring Break,
Florida Keys,
the
Everglades, and much, much more.
